ABOUT ME

Having been in admin roles for way too many years to mention, I knew there was something creative in me screaming to get out! Back in 2015, I bagged an admin role at an interior design company.

Boom!! There it was!! I loved being around vibrant fabrics and beautifully made furniture. Being in the thick of that industry, the creative juices began to flow.

So I studied Interior Design and earned a diploma but I accidently side-lined into updating some of my own furniture. I went on to take a short course in upholstery and that sealed the deal. I also took a course in lamp making and how to use power tools!

I'm at my happiest when I'm updating unloved furniture. I like to think furniture comes to me for some TLC, like a Spa weekend for tired pieces!

My home, especially my living room had a lot of Pine furniture that was beginning to look tired and dated and needed to be replaced. Replacing all the pine furniture was going to be a big expense and that was not an option, so I asked Lorraine for her opinion about painting the furniture I had. I cannot express my utmost satisfaction on the advice and quality of her work. She was so helpful with what parts of the furniture could remain unpainted to give a great look. Not only would she paint the furniture but the unpainted pine would be refreshed to look like new! The furniture now really enhances the aesthetic appeal of the room and draws frequent compliments from guests.
